1st MTP fusion

In patients with arthritis and a severe bunion the 1st MTP fusion operation works well to correct the deformity and relieve pain.

The 1st MTP fusion is also a good salvage procedure.

Case 1:

Case 2: Pre-op / 10 weeks post-op

Case 3:

Pre-op / 5 months

  1. These images are very helpful to those looking at corrective foot surgery options and to other health practitioners like myself, who are asked for insight into the long term results and complications of various bunion surgery outcomes. It would be helpful if you had testimonials posted from some of your bunion surgery patients, as to affects on gait after fusion, does this create hip pain or not? Or bunion shaving vs first mtp fracture with wire?
